Artificial Bait Corner
There are so many options out there when choosing artificial baits to use. I have chosen to partner with two outstanding companies for my artificial bait needs. I use Yozuri for all of my hard plastic baits and Mister Twister (Exude) for my soft plastic baits. This combination of baits gives me a broad spectrum of baits to choose from. Below are some examples of my favorite baits.
Yozuri: The 3DB Pencil is my absolute favorite top water bait to throw. It gives a unique walk the dog action like no other that I have seen. It is a 4" floating bait that is easy to use. I have caught redfish, trout, snook and ladyfish on this bait! The 3DS Minnow is another favorite hard plastic bait of mine. It is a 4" bait as well, but is a suspending bait. You can use a variety of techniques with this bait. Two of my favorite techniques are either reeling it in a straight line or using a a twitch and reel technique. This bait is excellent for redfish and trout! Another great bait is the Crystal 3D Shrimp. I use the 3 1/2" and it is a slow sinking bait. I have caught redfish and trout on this bait. Exude: Exude has several baits to choose from. Four of my favorite soft plastic baits to use are the Exude Dart, Fan Tail Shrimp, RT Slug and the Shrimp. All come in a variety of colors. One unique thing about the Fan Tail Shrimp is that it has a cavity allowing you to stuff it with a tube rattle, such as the one from McCoy.
